ATRI developed a Resource Manual to support individuals involved in the administrative processes of a religious institute. This terminology document is one component of the ATRI Resource Manual. Since many terms used in religious institute settings may be unfamiliar to new collaborators, this document is intended to serve as an orientation and reference tool.
For general assistance with the administrative work of your institute, please refer to the ATRI Resource Manual. Because government regulations change frequently, portions of the manual may require periodic review and updates. For current legal or financial requirements, please always consult your trusted finance and legal advisors.
You can find the terminology document in the Member Resource section (in both the Resource Manual and Library subsections).

We just enjoyed our 2025 annual conference in Halifax. Next year's conference will be held in Ottawa September 22 - 24, 2026. Registration will open in June 2026. Please call the ATRI office if you have any questions about the event 705-840-6605 or director@atricanada.org.
The 2026 session of Legal Education for leadership of religious institutes and their lay collaborators will be June 8 - 11, 2026. They again will be offering a great variety of topics that will be valuable as you lead and serve in your institutes. We can not emphasize the importance of this education for your community - for both religious and the lay collaborators that serve in your communities. We hope that you will consider joining in for the 2026 year.
The RCRI office has updated the TRENDS program to TRENDS 2021.
